Michael is the founding Director of Highgate and has over 30 years experience in property and social infrastructure development. In 1992 he established Highgate Management to develop university student housing. Michael has overseen the firms evolution into a QA accredited and leading Development Advisory and Project Management consultancy group. Michael has acted for a range of blue chip investment groups, government departments and smaller private clients in most property sectors.
Michael is passionate about building a Highgate team of highly motivated and talented professionals who really enjoy what they do which translates into meeting Clients expectations each time Highgate is engaged.
David Hume

David joined Highgate as a Director in 2008. David has over 30 years of experience in project delivery and property development as both a consultant and the Principal. His interest and formal qualifications in land economics, project management and engineering combined with his project and business experience in leading and driving successful project, development and business solutions provides him with a commercially astute approach to his work.
David has advised on and been directly responsible for managing large complex projects for both private and public clients, across a broad range of property sectors including residential, retail, commercial, industrial, defence, health, mineral processing.
Garry Silk
Senior Property and Urban Renewal Consultant

Garry has extensive experience in both UK and Australian property. He gained major redevelopment experience working for Milton Keynes and London Docklands Development Corporations in the UK and subsequently in Australia for the City West Development Corporation (CWDC) where he was Operations Manager and 2 i/c and Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority (SHFA) where he was Director of Development and Property Management with over 300 properties under management.
He opened and managed JLW’s (now JLL) office in London Docklands, offering full transactional, management and valuation services, worked extensively on the early stages of Canary Wharf, and emigrated with them in 1989.
Garry has advised Government departments, banks, major developers and commercial and industrial concerns on transactions, asset management, planning, property, development and community relations strategies and assisted in their implementation.
Wies Nowak

Wies has over 35 years of experience in the property, building and civil infrastructure gained internationally and in Australia.
He has been Project Director on several high-profile projects across various industry sectors including; commercial, retail, residential, industrial, transport, education and Defence, involving a close working relationship with both private and public-sector Clients.
Wies interacts with projects throughout the project life cycle from the initial feasibility, the planning phase and in delivery to completion, handover and demobalisation. Throughout project assignments Wies will integrate the technical and commercial aspects with a balanced approach to reflect project and our clients needs. Wies blends excellent communication skills with a confident leadership style to ensure that stakeholders and team members share the same objectives and are outcome focused.
Christine Kininmonth
Business Development Manager
Christine brings an extensive suite of skills from her career/s as a journalist, entrepreneur, and business innovator. Known to many as a regular panellist on the high rating ABC TV programme The New Inventors, Christine is promoting and communicating best practice, sustainable innovation within Highgate Management.
A graduate of Cambridge University’s Business Sustainability Management, Christine is focusing on Highgate’s commitment to implement business growth strategies that take into account Sustainable Development Goals, beginning with increasing diversity and inclusion, and reducing its carbon footprint.
Chris Brasler
Senior Development Consultant
Chris is an experienced brownfield developer and asset manager. He has successfully delivered, over the past 15 years, multiple mixed-use property transformations from abandoned or underperforming assets to institutional grade stabilized market competitive facilities.
Chris’ unique experience providing solutions to both regional and global corporations in the core US manufacturing and distribution location in the Mid Atlantic US coast resulted in key knowledge of logistics and warehouse management as well as manufacturing operations including; military heavy vehicle maintenance, corrugated paper, tractor trailer chassis and bed, plastic extrusion, special metal fabrication, food packaging and hazardous chemical space compliance.
Chris has been directly responsible for acquiring, developing, marketing, property operations, contract negotiations and disposal of over 350,000 Square metres of multi-tenant projects on behalf of institutional equity and clubhouse investors.
